What is a typical day in your writing life?
In my flat in London I ping-pong from study to kitchen to bedroom and back again, making coffee, answering e-mails, trying not to fall asleep, making hopeful, unrealised plans to take more exercise and slipping the odd bit of writing in between bouts of general frittering. The typical routine of someone who used to work in an office and pines for colleagues, office gossip and the snap-out-of-it jolts of adrenalin that come with being a reporter for a big news organization.
